Today was the day! With pastry and coffee drink in hand I
embraced my inner Audrey Hepburn and had my breakfast in front of Tiffany’s.
For those who have never been to Tiffany’s in Carmel, while not quite the same
vibe as the storefront from the 1961 movie, it does have a special je ne sais
quoi. Not only does the Tiffany’s in Carmel boast the beautiful polished
granite exterior, but since this is Carmel, our Tiffany’s has a robin egg blue
dog bowl out front!
Keeping with my Audrey Hepburn theme I wanted to take the
time to really look in the windows and not just catch a quick glance. In one
window there is a miniature white townhouse complete with Tiffany blue doors
and windows and a sleigh full of Tiffany blue packages. As for the other windows,
since the store doesn’t open until 10am, the windows were covered with a
security screen and I wasn’t able to admire the jewelry from outside.
At lunchtime I went back so I could go inside and look in
every display case. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the sales staff and
felt instantly welcome. My favorite diamond cut du jour is the cushion cut so I
wanted to see the different Tiffany settings that highlight this amazing stone.
Yep, I love it! I met the store manager and he told me a bit about the jewelry
and from there we quickly figured out we know some of the same people (such is
life in a small town). As we were chatting, another associate chimed in that
she and I have met before! I’m loving the interactions and getting to know
people even better.
After all the chatting I made sure I took the time to look
at all the inventory. It’s hard not to fall in love with all the shinny and
sparkling pendants, bracelets, charms, rings, earrings, necklaces and watches.
I also love the accessories: sunglasses, wallets, iPad case covers, and baby
spoons. Ha, what I didn’t see were any
Tiffany Blue dog bowls for sale…Hmm, I’m thinking there is definitely a market
for them in this town!
