400 Degrees Gourmet Burgers and Fries

What’s better than going on my daily walkabout? Going on the walkabout with my kids! Since my boys love burgers, it was pretty much a no-brainer that my boys would want to come along on today’s outing. Nate actually considers himself the family expert on 400 Degrees since he won a trip their in the 5th grade and is the only one in our family (until today) to have been to this restaurant. Yep, with just one visit under his belt, Nate honestly believes he knows everything there is to know about 400 Degrees. :)

As luck would have it, one of my new walkabout friends, David (Bottega Veneta), told me to check out Groupon.com for a $20 Groupon for two (basically $10 off) available for 400 Degrees. Gotta love a new restaurant to try and a deal at the same time!

The décor in 400 Degrees is a retro 50’s diner theme with a modern twist. Red, black, white, and chrome colors all mesh together keeping the vibe hip and fresh. 50’s music, at just the right volume, was playing in the background while we were dining. There were also a couple TVs in the corners, muted, streaming football highlights.

We kept things simple and all ordered the '40' burger and fries – I really loved the silver cup the fries were served in, it was simple, different, and more fun than having the fries piled on the side of the plate. Our server was prompt and efficient (which is key when dining with hungry, growing boys!).

My boys aren’t big on lingering after meals, so once we were done eating the they were ready to go and be on our way.
