Khaki's of Carmel moved to its current location in the Carmel
Plaza at the corner of Ocean Ave and Junipero back in 2010. I have walked by
this store for years and I love looking at the clothes in the window – but I
have never been inside. Actually I have
been in the physical space ages ago when it was Saks 5th Avenue but
the Khaki,s experience was new for me.
This men’s apparel store is comfortably stocked full of
unique and colorful items that are clearly high quality with a splash of fun. Hands
down this is one of the best specialty menswear stores I have ever seen. The
super friendly staff was very knowledgeable and excited to show me the newest
items in the store (umm, since this was my first visit everything was new to
me:)
I did notice there was a lower level (I vaguely remembered
this from Saks); however, I didn’t go down there to explore. Looks like I will
need to go back.
